3 Secrets to Fixing your Money Problems

You’ve got money problems that you want to fix. All money problems fall into 2 broad categories, either you’ve got too much or too little. Most of us have too little.

What we’re going to talk about today is fixing problems that happen because of not having enough money.

You know what I’m talking about. Not being able to afford nice things that you really want. Can’t go on vacation. Choosing how hungry you are by how much the food costs on the menu. Not having enough month at the end of the money.

You get the point.

Time to fix your money problems. Here are 3 secrets that will help you get that done:

1- Stop the leaks

If your financial ship is sinking plug up the leaks. By that I mean cut out the wasted spending. The obvious wasted spending. Stuff that you already know you’re wasting money on without even looking at your bank statement.

The first thing that you need to do when you realize that you’re digging yourself into a hole is to stop digging!

I’m not saying to get rid of cable and lattes or start eating only once a day. I’m not even saying to slash your budget.

I’m saying there’s probably at least 1 thing that you know you’re blowing money on that’s killing you. Stop throwing money down that hole.

Maybe it’s excessive shoe buying. Maybe it’s cable that you never watch. Maybe it’s a landline phone!

You know what it is. Cut it.

2- Focus on solutions daily

When you have a problem, you need solutions. You need to become intensely solution-oriented. Think about ways to solve your problems instead of getting depressed about them.

Get to work on eliminating your financial issues with as much creativity as you can find.

Look for ways to make more money. Negotiate your monthly bills. See if you can trade services with other people. Create partnerships that can help you in some way. Anything that you can think of.

You have to get in the mindset that your problems can be solved and keep looking for new ways to do that.

3- Put your weekend to work

If working your 9-5 job and taking off on the weekends was enough to solve your money problems then they’d be solved already. To do that you’re going to have to use your weekends better.

It’s like Grant Cardone said on a recent blog, don’t do weekends like everyone else.

While everyone else is sleeping get up and get to it. Get your workout in and get the blood flowing. Get to grinding.

Always remember that you need to eat 7 days a week not 5. And if you have kids then they do too.

There is no rule that says that you have to relax on Fridays and Saturdays. The American government created certain labor regulations so that employers couldn’t grind employees into the ground.

That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be about your own business at all times. Your life is your business and it operates 24/7. No-one else will take care of it.

Do weekends different.

Putting it all together

If you have money problems then you have to take action.

Stop wasting your money on stuff that you can easily get rid of. Actively look for ways to make more money and solve your problems. Make your weekends more productive.

Get to it!
